“Ridgeview Animal Hospital took my kitty in when Urgent Vet wouldn’t or couldn’t because I was not able to or willing to pay $5000-$7000 for an obstruction surgery. The first thing I received at Ridgeview was a tender welcome and understand ear. They took me in at a time I was most desperate! They have the best bedside manner - Dr Beth was so nice and caring to me! Unfortunately for me, my kitty passed during the surgery, most likely because so much time had gone by messing with other urgent care places before finding Ridgeview. Not only did they package my kitty up with care to take home to bury, but they offered condolences, a big warm hug, a shoulder to cry on and charged an incredible small fee compared to Urgent Vet. Urgent Vet was referred to me by my vet but as of today, I am switching all my animals to Ridgeview! I am so impressed by not only their care but their prices too! And they told me they care about the pets and people first- not the money! Thank you Ridgeview!“

“Everyone here was extremely kind and helpful. The doctor was amazingly patient with our dog, who was not wanting to be examined despite not feeling well. While waiting we watched the cutest and happiest dogs get dropped off for daycare. Will definitely recommend.“

“About two weeks ago, we noticed our 10-year-old cat, Hunter, was losing weight at an alarming rate. I got him in to see Dr. Chall almost immediately to have blood work done. The results were back by Monday, and it wasn’t looking good. I had already started to come to terms with the possibility that Hunter’s time might be limited, but Dr. Chall suggested trying a couple of medications to see if there was any chance of turning things around.

Unfortunately, it was already too late for Hunter.

As his condition worsened, we struggled to get pills into him at home. Brandon allowed me to bring Hunter in so they could administer the medication for us, and he never once made us feel like an inconvenience or put us off. During one of those visits, Hunter’s weight had continued to drop. We tried one final anti-nausea injection in hopes that it might help him eat, but by then he had clearly given up.

Dr. Chall explained additional procedures that could be attempted, but she never pressured us or gave us false hope. She simply laid out the options so we could make an informed decision, and we knew in our hearts that his time had come.

The following day, we brought Hunter in. Dr. Chall administered the sedative so he could fall asleep peacefully in my arms before taking him away when it was time to say goodbye. The entire staff was compassionate and empathetic throughout one of the hardest moments we’ve faced.

I truly don’t believe there was anything more that could have been done for Hunter—but I firmly believe that everyone at Murlen Animal Clinic did everything they could, while making sure we fully understood what was and was not realistic. Losing a pet is never easy, but they made the process as gentle and humane as possible under the circumstances.

Because of this experience, I’ve since transferred the records for our remaining pets to Murlen Animal Clinic. I don’t see us going anywhere else.

Thank you to Dr. Chall, Brandon, Morgan, and Brielle.“
