Bait and switch. Beware. One of the doctors left the practice. We have received at least ten texts to make an appointment with this doctor. I have called more than once and asked them to stop. They won’t. Again yesterday we received notification that we missed an appointment with this doctor. If this practice can’t be truthful I sure wouldn’t trust them. How donI report this to the medical board?

Dr. Jacob Smith did a great job with my eyelid surgery! I can see much better now, things are brighter! He is a very carry Dr. who listens to you and answers your questions!

I went from basically being blind without my glasses to not having to wear glasses at all. I can see far and near something I didn’t think was possible. Everything from the consultation to aftercare was great I had the lal lenses and yes there was a few visits more after the surgery but to dial my vision in like they did it was well worth it. I am super happy with discover vision and would defiantly do it again and highly recommend discover. Shout out to Dr Bell and Dr Doane and there whole staff they are amazing at the service they provide I can’t thank them enough

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding care I received during my LASIK surgery. As a patient of Dr. B. Parsons and Dr. J. Doane, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They both made the entire process not only easy and comfortable but also enjoyable, which is something I truly appreciate.
Moreover, I would like to extend my thanks to the fantastic staff at both the Lee’s Summit and Leawood Surgery centers. Everyone was incredibly supportive and professional, making the entire journey a pleasant one.

Went to see Dr Beek, my doctor was not available at that time. I have had numerous visits with my eye in the past, I felt something was off. The appointment desk got me right in, I saw Dr. Beek, he was very thorough in his examination of my eye, very kind and made me feel at ease. That is huge for me thank you again, Dr Beek.

I have worn glasses/contacts for over 20 years, and always thought about vision correction surgery, but felt too anxious to actually follow through. I suffer horribly from seasonal allergies, so I have strictly worn glasses for quite some time. I work in law enforcement & after losing my glasses during a scuffle, I knew I had to take the leap & I decided to get the SMILE procedure. From the consultation to the surgery itself, every person I came in contact with helped ease my anxiety!
On the day of my surgery, Dr. Doane met with my husband & I, answered our questions & just chatted for a bit. He is a genuinely kind person & that is just what I needed! During pre-op, while waiting for the relaxing meds to kick in, Phil hung out with me & we chatted about vacations, the warm weather, etc… his kindness & ability to hold conversation helped tremendously. During the surgery itself, Dr. Doane & his nurse (not sure which one, but she was an angel!) noticed I was feeling discomfort (thanks red headed genes) & immediately spoke encouraging words to me. The nurse moved to my side & provided comfort so I could get through the last few minutes of the procedure.
Within less than 12 hours, I was able to read things from 15-20 feet away… & 24 hours later, I can see distance almost as well as with my contacts/glasses. I have no pain or discomfort, only slightly dry eyes, which is easily combated with the drops provided to me. I am so thankful for Dr. Doane & all of the staff for helping me feel comfortable enough to go through with this truly life changing procedure!
TLDR; Dr. Doane & staff are incredible! If you’re considering this surgery, just do it! You will be so happy you did.
