    Check your credit statement for December for $60 because Crunch steals your money for the end of year bonuses. They also haven’t fixed one of the elliptical for over 6 months.

    Tried to downgrade my account a year ago and thought I downgraded, but they continued charging me for the peak performance package. Apparently the front desk never recorded my downgrade properly or this is fraud in upper management. I’ve been continued to be charged for peak results even though I don’t utilize it or want it. In order to view your current package, you also have to read the fine print on an invoice on their website. I called the assistant manager and they had no record of me downgrading even though I remember signing a form and talking to the folks at the front desk. Remember to take a selfie with the front desk people with a timestamp if you ever downgrade because the management won't believe you and/or don’t have the power to refund. The behavior seems fraudulent to me and it doesn’t sound like I’m the first and probably won’t be the last to experience this. Hope this warning helped you decide whether or not to come here.

    If we want to talk about the state of the gym. There is at least one treadmill that doesn’t work (the heart tab is ripped off) and there is an elliptical machine that clearly needs to be tuned up because the distance is always wrong. Also, if you hit the gym at peak hours, it is super hard to hit the muscle groups that you'd want to hit and you kind of get what you can get.

    My experience with crunch has been disappointing and I would not recommend them for the reasons provided above.

    I have had some good workouts here, but fraud isn’t worth it.

    If you need a trainer, I highly recommend Brayden Moore! Also, the crunch facility is so clean and uplifting. Brayden the personal trainer encourages you pushes you and creates great workouts that fit your goals!!!

    Brayden Moore the Personal Trainer put me through an amazing workout. He is so positively constructive, and is so encouraging throughout the entire workout. Not only will you leave feeling like you had a great workout but you’ll feel happy with his positive enlightening energy. Highly recommend training with him or doing a set up session to get started!!!

    just wow, the customer service is sooo bad i mean the lady who picked up the phone was professional but not friendly and the HR front desk lady they transferred me to barley let me get a word in a word in and hung up on me mid sentence

    This gym does not seem to be maintained very well. It pretty consistently has the nastiest bathroom in Lawrence. Spend about 15 seconds looking at the toilets and you can tell they haven’t been more than wiped down in years. You text the sign that they need attention and nothing happens. Locker room is always out of paper towels, every hand sanitizer in the building is always empty. Stuff is always broken, why are both leg extension machines down at once? The place is always packed. It’s a mile from KU so management likely knows they don’t have to keep up with much because when one person quits them, five more sign up. Which also means you’re gonna be waiting on half the machines you want for your workout any time after 3pm during the school year. This is by far one of the most poorly maintained gyms and definitely the most poorly maintained Crunch in the area

    Usually, this is a great gym. I was receiving training sessions. I choose to stop them in August 2025. On October 10, a training session payment, $110 came out of my bank. It was not authorized. I called Crunch. They agreed it should not have happened. I spoke with Amber, who is in charge of training sessions. She said her boss had to authorize it. After 1 week, I called back. Amber said she will check with her boss. Two weeks, same thing. I called today, October 31. Amber said she didn’t think he did it and thought he won’t do it. I asked why. She said they don’t do refunds. This wasn’t my mistake it was crunches.

    I received a phone call from the regional manager, Scott. He was asking about the incident above. He stated someone accidentally put a freeze on my account and then it resumed payments. He apologized and gave me refund. Scott was very professional and apologetic about the whole incident. Other than this one incident, I think Crunch is a very nice gym. After speaking with Scott, I feel they generally care about their members.

    The Men’s sauna is filthy. The floor hasn’t been cleaned for 2 days now. Trash on the floor plus dried blood drops in spots too. The word “Help” is marked on the glass door to the sauna. Not sure who is supposed to clean but they need to be fired.

    I’ve canceled my members due to the cleanliness of the facility. I enjoyed the classes they offered and the sauna but I’ve canceled my membership at Crunch to attended another popular gym in town and noticed how clean it is.

    Spend your money elsewhere. I never write reviews but the equipment is cheap, dated, always dirty.
