A few years ago, I had a dryer that wouldn’t stop running unless I manually shut it off. I explained the issue over the phone, and the tech showed up prepared and fixed it on the first visit. The price was reasonable, and the service was solid.
Yesterday, I called again because my Maytag washer from 2017 started sounding like a jet engine and even had a faint burning smell. The person on the phone was upfront and explained what the likely issue was, then told me honestly that the repair would cost more than the machine is worth. Was on a waiting list for Whirlpool 'board' replacement for 3+ weeks. Ace was able to secure a 'board' from another person who had a 'loaner' washer to repair mine! THANK YOU to that individual!!
