I hate when people are the first to attack these types of places as if their personal review is a chance to "get back" @ them. Perfect examples of"boundaries" and "self sabotage" type of behaviors which is 2 of a 1,000 things that I learned at this mental health institution. I felt misunderstood, embarrassed and egotistical when I entered their doors. I thought I was in control of my anger and most importantly what was going to happen when I arrived. I must digress, it took 2 women bigger than me and 4 staff spectators to get my attention enough to let me know I NEEDED to lose control and just relax and release and accept the help GOD placed in my life for a reason.This...read full review
It's been a couple years since I was at wellstone but I still feel the effects of the way the IOP group leader belittled me in front of the group and the nurse who was much the same working there
This place is paradise in comparison to Clark Memorial 3rd floor. They treated me with respect and like a human being, I didn’t feel discriminated against due to my mental health struggles. The majority of staff are empathetic, kind, compassionate, supportive, and considerate. They genuinely care and go out of their way to show that and to make sure your needs are met. They also go out of their way to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible given the circumstances. ( I’ve only been on the adult unit, I can’t speak for the adolescent unit)I highly recommend Wellstone, they changed my life for the better.
