Mei Fitness - Southport is a 24-hour gym offering state-of-the-art equipment and services. The gym boasts friendly staff and consistently clean facilities, with particular praise for the morning cleaning staff. However, some members have expressed concerns. One recurring issue is the smell of pine in the sauna, caused by some individuals bringing and using scented water. This has resulted in complaints and a pervasive odor that lingers on clothing and in cars. Another issue is members using equipment and engaging with their phones instead of working out. This violates posted gym rules and causes frustration for other members who are looking to use the equipment. Additionally, some members have raised concerns about the lack of enforcement regarding personal hygiene, specifically citing instances of bad breath within the gym. Despite these issues, the gym's clean facilities, friendly staff, and variety of equipment remain positive aspects for many members.
We have paid nearly $50 per month, but unfortunately, the internet service has not been provided reliably.
In addition, there have been multiple occasions in the morning the door was locked and had to go home without being able to workout. This has been quite inconvenient and disappointing.
I kindly ask you to review and address these issues as soon as possible. I believe this situation can still be resolved, and I hope to see improvements soon.
Great gym other than…
WiFi is literally the worst. Unfortunately, it’s located in a cell dead zone for me (AT&T). So I have to rely on the wifi connection. It is terrible. Even the TVs in the gym often drop signal as they are streaming.
Please upgrade the internet speed / router / etc. It is not capable and fails frequently.
The equipment is new and changing. Not alot of people in there all the time which is nice. Bathrooms are cleans and they have a sauna and cold therapy. But you can’t even get inside the building in the morning if you go before 10 since the key card door doesn’t like to work for everyone at 4 in the morning. A lot of wasted time to pay 45 bucks a month to only get access to the gym when staff is in the building. 24 HOURS . Yeah right …. As a member I don’t appreciate it at all. Don’t know if I’ll continue
