From rehabbing a carriage house cupola, to painting the exterior of our home (by brush, not spray), to removing a screened porch and creating a beautiful and sturdy outdoor living space, Shane has consistently listened to us and given us exactly what we desired. Legend Design Build delivered a vision for our basement that met our family’s needs to build a welcoming space for our friends for years to come. In both the what and the how, Shane Lanning and his team consistently showed up with great respect for our home and the people in it. If there was an update, Shane communicated with us and worked to find a solution. He worked diligently to meet a tight timeline and with our decorator to build on each other’s ideas. Shane is welcome in our home any time!

When we bought our home 15 years ago, we knew the master bath would need to be updated—and we assumed it would be our first project. Well… many years (and six kids and four dogs!) later, we finally tackled it. By then, the rest of the house was showing its age too, so the project quickly grew: new hardwoods throughout the first floor, full remodels of two half-baths, a laundry room overhaul, and refreshes to the kitchen. It became a big undertaking.
My wife and I don’t have much talent for visualizing or articulating what we want from a design perspective, so when searching for a contractor, we needed someone who could also guide us creatively.... read full review
