I dropped my dog off to the groomer today, and I cannot say enough good things about Grace. She was patient with my needy husky, and took the time to work with him on HIS schedule. :) She communicated with me during the appointment to update me on his status and followed up with me after we left with a few things she noticed on him while she was grooming him. I appreciate the care and patience she had with Jack while she worked to make him feel good again! Thank you, Grace!

My big puppy has been coming for a couple of months now and loves it! The staff is friendly and my dog is so tired when I pick him up that he sleeps in the car. I like that I can check on him through the app.

Barkefeller’s West is the best for daycare, boarding, and grooming. They help our dog feel loved every day he is there.

I’ve trusted Barkefellers West with my giant babies for more than a decade and they never disappoint. They are true animal lovers and it shows. I just brought my new rescue in today for daycare and it was an amazing experience for her. Love this place and the staff for the love and care they always show my dogs.

Just picked my dog Duchess (Dutch) up from a week long boarding. So unhappy with the service. Let’s start with saying the service/caregivers were friendly but they kept referring to her as a him. They called me while gone telling me “HE” has diarrhea. Then when I picked her up they kept saying “he” like they don’t really pay attention to the dogs they are caring for, as they don’t even know or care enough to learn if it’s a boy or girl. While she was there she was supposed to get groomed but they said they couldn’t groom her without fully shaving her because she was matted. Which confused me because she was not matted when dropped off. I had to immediately bathe her when we got home due to the fact she smelled as though she had laid in urine and she had feces dried to her buttock/hind area. She also had who knows what all dried in her beard as she is a schnauzer and they obviously have beards. Turns out she was not matted at all, she brushed out perfectly fine after a bath. She just was disappointingly disgusting from lack of care while there and they didn’t even try to wash away the neglect. But thank you to them for showing me the care my dog received. Below is a picture of Dutchie when picked up. I only regret not taking a picture of the feces picked out of her hind fur. I will also add this area needs a Pet Paradise. As a travel nurse I at times board my dog while traveling home for a weekend or week at a time and have used pet paradise in Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, and Texas and never picked my dog up looking in such dismay from their facilities.

I honestly could not be happier with the outstanding training my little guy received from Oliva! She truly knows her profession and has a genuine love for helping her clients achieve their individual goals.

I have boarded my dogs here a few times, and both of my dogs always board together. Recently upon drop off, my wife was told that there was a note in their file stating that they were not allowed to board together. This was very confusing because we had never heard of any issues before, but we needed to leave town and didn't have a lot of time to figure out what was going on. When I went back to pick my dogs up, I asked the "manager" why this happened. She told me that during previous stays, one of my dogs snapped at my other dog. Therefore, the decision was made to board them separately in order to protect one dog from the other. Keep in mind these dogs live together and share space all the time. She specifically mentioned that they had never bitten one another, and there has never been a fight or any injuries. I asked why I was never told about this beforehand (like when I called to schedule the booking appointment one month prior), and I wasn't given an answer. I was not even given so much as a simple apology for the lack of communication on their end. Instead, she also mentioned that one of my dogs jumps on the glass when they are going to be let out. I have no idea what this has to do with them not being allowed to board together, and quite frankly neither does she. Ultimately what it comes down to is it is more expensive to board dogs separately than it is to board them together. This is even something that the super intelligent manager acknowledged.
There are plenty of places to board your dogs in this area, and I have to think that some of them will attempt to do more than squeeze every dollar they can out of you. This place isn't it.
