I had a pleasant experience here. I was there to get annual eye exam and contact lens fitting and Dr. Jones was very nice!Although It is only once a year, exams can take really long but at Abrams Eyecare I was in and out in an hour I believe. Waiting room was clean and staff was friendly. Very quick and efficient.

This is a full service opthalmology clinic, not a typical mall optometrist. They do cataract, glaucoma, and other Lasik/laser treatments, and have surgeons on staff, meaning MDs as opposed to doctors of optometry-- not that optometrists are bad, rather, it's a different skill set. It's a full-service sort of place, and although their personability is sometimes abrupt, it's my estimation they know their discipline. The Abrams Eye Centers have different staff, but they rely on other locations for specialties in my experience. I've been pleased with their work. My four star rating is because I don't have the comparison values to know if it's really five stars. That may sound wishy-washy, but rating clinics is difficult. I get the sense that their staff has high professionalism, and have a great deal of experience, and that's comforting.

I'm a diabetic who lives in Brownsburg, IN where there are no ophthalmologists. It's important for me to see an opthamologist for my eye exams, because Diabetes can cause very serious problems involving the eyes among other health problems. Optitions & Optometrists do not have the necessary skills & knowledge to properly discover & treat diabetic eye problems. Opthamologists are M.D.'S, actual eye doctors who can. My diabetic mother was a patient of Dr. John Abrams, M.D. and never had any complaints with him or his staff. So he's who I saw for my eye exam.
