“Gio is awesome! I hadn't been to a barber of any kind since i was a kid and had a rough experience. I'm fully loaded adhd and get lots of anxiety and overwhelmed easy in unfamiliar places with lots of people and noise and stuff. Gio's place is perfect! It's cozy and personable and you can just talk in a normal tone. I wanted a hand getting my beard back in shape. I wear it a particular way and he made sure to check every step of the way to make sure we were on track with the way i like it and he explained the things he did as he did them. I also have patchy funky facial hair and he showed me some products and stuff to help get it to a more voluminous place. I was super impressed! Plus, he just a really cool person ? I'll be back next time i need a hand for sure!“

“Gene was a very good friend of my grandfather, James Long- Most knew him as Jim, a crossing guard for Kokomo School District. Gene had been his barber “since there were dinosaurs” they’d often tell me. All through my childhood, it was a bi-weekly ritual to spend an hour in this shop. I remember how glad Grandpa Jim was that Gene gave me my first haircut. He was such a staple of my childhood in Kokomo that, to me, this little shop is a bigger landmark than The Kokomo Gas Tower. I haven’t been back since my grandpa and Gene both passed- Gene in 2005, Jim in 2007. But, it makes me so very happy to see the shop still operating, with the same name and function , 20 years later. ✊❤️“
