I enrolled in this school in August 2023. The owner told me I could be trained and obtain a CDL with no manual transmission restriction. Hard to do when there are no manual transmission trucks to train or test in. They gave me the run around and tried to get me to test in an automatic transmission truck for over 3 months after I paid them $5,000. I ended up attending 160 Driving Academy in South Bend for 1 week. It cost me another $2,500, but they got me my CDL with no manual transmission restriction. Stay far away from International Trucking Academy if they are even still in business.

The employer didn’t pay my fiancé . My fiancé is still waiting on his last check and it’s been about 2 months, the owner’s bank won’t cash it and the guy won’t return his messages now. Just an fyi… It just wasn’t him having issues getting paid. Maybe he will use the same excuse next time like the state is holding the funds or the banks are holding funds, blah, blah, blah…. On Fridays the owner was Houdini and wouldn’t be around to pay employees and my fiancé would get excuses from the office manager. So if you’re a new student I would be careful investing your financial aid or even 1,000.00 towards this company or owner.

The owner Anthony Perry stiffed some of its employees of their last paychecks. Claimed to repay them but no longer answer his messages. Truck companies came in and reposed their trucks that students needed to obtain their CDL licensed. He claimed there was a recall. When employees paychecks were bouncing then the owner lied about that and mysteriously would not be around on Fridays when employees were to be paid. If the employer can't pay its employees you should be very careful where you invest your financial aid.

Don't let the appearance of the place scare you off. This is a pretty good place to go. Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. Good equipment to learn on. I can't comment on the price since I didn't pay for it. My only suggestion is hire a couple more instructors . Overall a good experience.

By far one of the best schools in fortwayne. I would recommend to anyone that is looking to get a A or B license or any endorsement. Great staff that care about their students passing. Forever Grateful.

I worked here for 2.5 months. Very unprofessional work environment. New rules everyday. Myself and 2 other instructors were working here without a license. We didn't know we needed one until the state came around asking to see mine. The owner called me on Monday March 20 2023 and told me not to come in because he was going to be audited and for me to wait for my actual license to come in. He drug it out for 2 weeks and then his admin guy (lead instructor) sent me a text at 9pm at night and said he got bad feedback about me which is a total lie. They were just trying to cover themselves. Well I have the paychecks to prove I worked there. Do not go to this school. They are very unorganized and offer less training than other schools in the area.

This place gave my husband the run around. The owner will give you false dreams. And make it seem like you can get your CDL‘s overnight. Even if that was true realistically that’s very little training. Very on organized. They really don’t care about their students like they say they do. I suggest you finding a better school to go to ivytech offers CDL license. And other surrounding areas. Do you want to make sure you’re getting the best training because you’re not only putting your life in danger you’re putting everyone else’s life in danger on that road.
