He could not be left alone and having a home health aide allowed me to be able to leave the house with confidence that my husband would receive excellent care. The only other option would have been a nursing home and we wanted him to be at home. Both workers who were assigned to me were outstanding. Fabiola was our aide most of the time and was very conscientious, caring and willing to do whatever was needed to help. She was prompt and reliable – never missed a shift in over a month of service. “After a five-day hospital stay, the Select Home Health Services, Carmel, Indiana, therapy staff visited me at home to provide physical and occupational therapy exercises. It’s amazing how many exercises they can suggest, but since I have very bad arthritis it’s difficult to do any exercises that will help.
In addition, the staff evaluated the house to determine if anything needed to be done to avoid falls. Everything looked good except they suggested that two grab bars needed to be added to the shower. It’s good to feel this was an honest suggestion rather than someone telling you to buy something just to make money.
