“My kitten needed emergency surgery after an xray at her vet showed she swallowed something metal like a battery. Staff was thorough and clear in communication on next steps, costs, potential complications, permission before handing her to a very skilled surgeon and team. They also were very tuned into her emotional needs as a tiny kitten in the ICU and kept her in a quiet area and well attended. The surgeon Dr. Kienitz and the surgical intern Dr. Sirr were excellent. Her waiting for surgery, just home and one week out.“

“We greatly appreciate the doctors hearing our concerns and collaborating with us on a treatment plan for our pet. Our visit came as a result of needing a 2nd opinion on a surgery. Dr. McKenzie listened to all our concerns, and presented multiple options in an easy to understand manner. When it became clear that surgery was needed, the surgeon, Dr. Weber, performed a seamless and minimally invasive procedure. She was quick to provide updates via phone call, and gave clear post-treatment instructions that have led to an easy-to-manage home care plan. “We have been going to Eye Care for Animals for MANY years and always feel welcomed. We were going out 2 year old Leonberger checked and things did not go as planned, but that's life! He will be having surgery as his lower eyelashes are rubbing on his eyes, especially the left eye. Fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow.“

“Every time we passed Skycrest, our cousin would point out that is Zoa's vet, they are wonderful. Sad to say, Zoa's owner passed and we inherited Zoa. Since Zoa meant so much to our cousin, we continued to take her there. Years ago, one of Skycrest's employees found Zoa under a car, ready to give birth, she was if anything a year old. They took care of Zoa and found homes for her offsprings. They approached our cousin, who just lost her cat, and told her they have an awesome kitty for her. They have a picture of her with her kittens and all say hi to her when we bring her in. They have been absolutely helpful with us caring for Zoa, who is 13 years young. “We are new to the area and had to choose a new vet for our 13 year old kitty, Fonzie, who hadn't been feeling well. Someone recommended Mundelein Animal Hospital and after reading the reviews, we made an appointment. The person I spoke to on the phone was very kind and capable, and was able to get us in the same day. We saw a vet assistant who took all of our information and then the vet came in. We saw Dr. Feltes who was absolutely wonderful. She gave Fonz a very thorough exam, took X-rays and blood work and explained everything extremely well. She was very gentle with Fonzie, as was her assistant. We never once felt rushed and it's obvious this staff really loves animals. The entire visit was as positive as it could possibly be, given we were there with a patient who didn't want to be there. I highly recommend this animal hospital!“

“My 4 month old Labrador Retriever, Hooper, absolutely loves Dr. Marx. She is AMAZING with him, and of course he LOVES when she wears her sparkly shoes! The entire practice has been outstanding since I got him. I know my puppy is in great hands under their outstanding care. Our dog, Bruda, had UTIs repeatedly & Dr. Sweeney & Dr. Marrinan were the only vets to actually investigate further and take our concerns seriously (& we saw at least 5 vets prior)! Our dog is now healthy & happy thanks to Companion. We are so thankful for all the guidance & support they have provided the past few years!“

“When I was fostering my dog this was the vet the shelter was bringing him to. I love that they work with shelters to help lower costs for that population. When I adopted my pup it was an easy decision to keep them as his vet. Worth the longer drive for us. I have had the best care every time I have an appointment. And when I have any concerns I send an email and they respond same day. I highly recommend Kohn.
Also my dog is not dog friendly and they schedule appointments so you are the only one in the waiting room. I have never run into another animal when coming in or out and that helps keep the animals calmer. A wonderful touch to what could be a stressful experience for the animal. 10/10“

My dog Bella had an emergency Monday morning, scared and unsure what was going on, she is only 6 years old. The staff was great getting me in asap to get a diagnosis. After a few tests we were told our dog had Bladder Stones and needed surgery.
Dr. Flahaven did an emergency surgery that same afternoon to remove many large bladder stones. The surgery went well and he covered everything from diet to meds and recovery. Thank you for saving our little Bella life. We are so grateful to have such an experienced, compassionate and professional team at Deer Grove for all our vet care.

“Dr. Vogel seems pretty thorough, trustworthy & caring! Love being able to check out in room vs. having to do at the desk while trying to wrangle your dog. Very clean! Not giving 5 stars, because it is very expensive, especially the medications, but find me a reasonable veterinarian anywhere!“
