“This review is so late. A few years ago were renting in hopes of leaving IL, and I signed my kids up for voice lessons. One of my kids teachers was Matt, and to say he is awesome is a complete understatement. Matt is PHENOMENAL! Matt’s positive energy and his ability to redirect when the note was missed, (instead of saying, “No”), was so helpful. He truly enjoys working with music and was amazing with kids. Matt even noticed that one of my kids was hearing the music differently which helped us learn she has an auditory processing disorder. How crazy that none of the pediatricians, speech therapists, audiologists, etc that we have been to didn’t catch it, but Matt did. (He said she was hearing the harmony when he was playing the melody which I mentioned to a myofunctional therapist who sent us to another audiologist.)

I absolutely miss Matt and all of the teachers at Sounds Like Music. (Sarah was another teacher we had and she was so nice!)

Maybe when technology makes it so that the sound can travel freely via zoom meetings, we will try again. Unfortunately we live too far to return weekly.

But if you’re local, this place is an absolute gem. They are serious about what they do and want the best for your kid, (at least that was my experience)!“
