About Vision Care Associates
Vision Care Associates (VCA) is a two-location eyecare practice in Springfield, Illinois, with eight doctors who treat eye diseases, emergencies, and provide routine eye examinations. VCA has an extensive selection of over 2000 frames in each of their optical galleries and utilizes the best technology for exams, glasses, and contact lenses. The staff creates a welcoming and friendly environment, making patients feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. Patients appreciate the thoroughness of the doctors and the kindness of the support team. The practice is known for its clean and well-organized space, with a wide variety of glasses frames available. Patients have shared positive experiences with Dr. Blomberg, describing him as warm, caring, and extremely professional. His support team is also praised for being attentive and top-notch. Many patients highlight the excellent service provided by staff members like Shayla, who helps with lenses, and Dr. Hill, noted for being thorough, patient, and kind. Patients also value the efficiency of the practice, noting that they are called back quickly and receive prompt care. For routine exams, such as those for visually-impaired or frail patients, staff members are consistently kind, efficient, and attentive. Dr. Rubrich is particularly appreciated for her patience, thoroughness, expertise, and kindness. While there have been some concerns about billing and insurance processes, patients trust the doctors’ expertise and feel confident in their eye care, especially for children's eye health. Tricare is accepted at the facility, adding to the convenience for many patients.
This office is efficiently operated. Staff is pleasant and friendly. Appointments are efficiently scheduled, I have never had an unreasonable wait. This is true even when they worked me in on Christmas Eve to address an issue that concerned me. My only wait in that case was for the drops to work. The staff and doctors do an excellent job in explaining the medical issue at hand.
The office is nicely appointed and comfortable.
Have had good experiences with Vision Care in the past. However, DO NOT like that they have moved their appt scheduling to a call center. Terrible idea! Have been disconnected, new accounts have been made for me, and hold time is excessive due to call center employees trying to contact the clinic if there is a question or emergency. Your in-house employees are much more efficient!
Service was 10/10, fast, easy, and very thorough. My only issue was the frames section was overwhelming, but the sales associate found me and helped me. I highly recommend this amazing place.
