“I remember in the early 1960s my father took his pants here every week...parked out front and sent me and my brother in....they gave free lollipops... don't know if they do anymore....but a few years later my dad switched to the old Norge Village that used to be in Almar Plaza...no lollipops. There used to be a Gulf Oil station next to Charm Cleaners. I remember they had a big handwritten sign out front that said "white gas." Must have been there till at least 1965, because I could not read before then. I thought it meant that their gas was white. Did not realize till years later that it meant that they did not serve "coloreds". But Magnusson's Standard across the street did not discriminate. I think South Holland was still a "sundown town" back then.“

“Seamstress does consistently excellent work - have had her alter pants, jackets etc... She recently sewed on a button and offered to do it while I waited AND then said no charge (which of course I gave her $). Very nice lady and highly recommend.“

“I dropped off my MK coat had cleaned due spilling sardine juice. They cleaned my coat it do not have a smell after receiving back.You can see a difference with it's color of coat it's been cleaned.“
