I stopped in today for a few watch batteries. When I called, I asked if they took care of Movado watch batteries and Gus told me he works on everything from Timex to Rolex. That was great to hear. I stopped in with 3 watches that needed batteries and was out within 10 minutes. I took a quick look at his custom pieces and they are beautiful and thoughtfully created. I will definitely stop in again soon.
Took my Swiss Army watch in for a new battery. Gus examined it and gave me a description of the mechanism and function. He then noticed that the seal was not the correct size and it allowed dirt into the watch. I was amazed because I have noticed this happening over the last year or so and did not know why! He brought the watch over to me from his bench, described the need and how he would fix it and then got to work. He was so kind and fun to share the time. If you recognize him he was a Stratford Square for 20 years. Taking my necklace to him soon.
