Amazing place for pets, had an emergency issue and I was able to get in quickly and cost wise was much less than I expected for an emergent visit, glad to call this place my pupper's new home vet :)

I wish i would’ve never brought my guinea to this awful place, a while ago i brought my guinea pig because i noticed that he was peeping blood, i called and they said that i could leave him there and they would take care of him at first i was a little worried but i still took him they said they were going to keep me updated, next day comes and no call i decided to call them and they said that he was doing alright and all he need was vitamin C i said ok il pick him up then, they said that if i could leave him for another day because he seems to have abdominal issues so i left him for another day and they didn’t keep me updated. He stayed in the vet for about 3 days they finally called me to go pick him up, when i got there they said he needed to take medications they gaved 4 different medications and he had to take them every 3 hours and 2 times a day so they were giving him medicine 8 times a day and that’s ridiculous for a small animal they had said he only needed vitamins so i didn’t understand why all of the sudden he needed to take so many medication. The medication basically made him worse when i took him he would eat and he was energetic but the only issue was that he was peeing blood. 4 days after bringing him home he passed away. I wish i would’ve done research first before taking him because he wasn’t sick he didn’t have any abdominal issues he only need vitamin and they killed him by giving him too many medications for no reason .

No one I trust more with my pets than Dr. Holm and her staff. Also doesn’t hurt that priced are great compared to local competition.
Update 5 Star to 3 Star: I have been going here for a long time and spent well over 4k here. They still are great with your animals, hence the 3 star, but they are poor with people. Their book keeping and customer service has gone so far downhill. Provided are examples, the last example is the most important and why I will be looking elsewhere for my next vet visit.
1) In May, I brought my one of my dogs in for her yearly appointment. During that checkup I was accused of not consistently giving my dogs heart-warm medicine due to their records showing I haven’t bought correct amount. Months later that was shown to be false. Book keeping error 1. 2) Last week I had to reschedule an appointment, which I haven’t needed to do in years going here. They called me 8 hours after the appointment was changed for a no call no show trying to charge me for it. Book keeping error 2. 3) When I came in for the rescheduled appointment they noted the wrong time we made. I had to wait an hour to be squeezed in when I was on schedule. Book keeping error 3. 4) The biggest issue was when it came for payment today. I was charged an extra 30 dollars due to an under charging from 6 months ago, of which I wasn’t contacted. I wasn’t even contacted at the time of paying; I saw the charges not adding up on the receipt. Apparently, they wrote down a charge of 27 instead of 57, their error. In addition, their front desk was incredibly rude when I wanted to know about it and why I was never contacted about it. Book keeping error 4.
Ultimately, this isn’t about the money. This is about wanting a clinic that has better book keeping. More importantly, this is about wanting a clinic to not charge loyal customers for their own mistakes while being rude about it.

This is my second or third time visiting Auburn Animal clinic. The first time was a few years back when my sweet cat, Buddy, caught a virus and had lost a lot of weight. I was so worried. I took her in and they kept her overnight, giving her fluids and medication. She made a full recovery ❤️🩹 Today, I brought in a younger cat who had her hind paw smashed by one of our very old windows 😢 Again, Auburn Animal clinic checked her out, took some X-rays, and took great care of miss Lilah Mae. I’m very grateful to Dr. Holm and the great front/tech staff (thanks Estefani)! I appreciate you all 💜

I recently posted a review stating that this is a caring vet. I stand by that statement, however recent issues have made me give a one star. The vet let me bring my dog in on a Sunday night for an ear infection, then later stated she was sorry she let me go there. All because I was asking questions as to what the med was she prescribed to my dog and why it was prescribed. No information was given to me about the med. When I asked whats that for , they stated it's for his gut. His diarrhea was due to ingesting the ear infection cream which she also guaranteed that wasn't the reason. I called the company that makes the med, they said yes it could cause diarrhea. She argued with me stating why was I asking questions about the care she was giving to my dog. I have the right to question anything and everything your doing with my dog. She's out to make money. Well not from me anymore. Glad I got my dog away from her.

A wonderful place with very caring people. I brought in an injured baby chipmunk. They took me right in, no hesitation.

My wife took our Veiled Chameleon in to be seen, there were some issues that they gave her medicine for. While checking out she noticed they charged her for fecal sample test that was never performed. They wouldn't refund and said bring it in with his check up. Unfortunately he died and was not able to return for the check up. When my wife called to cancel the appointment she asked about a refund for the service they never performed. They refused to refund her. Despute the fact we do not feel they treated our Chameleon properly, they charged us for services they never performed and refused to refund. That my friends is fraud. Be aware before you go to this deceptive vet clinic who commits fraud by charging you for services not performed in the hopes you don't notice it on your bill and when you do refuses to refund.

Dr.Holm and her staff saved my FooFoo’s life. I knew she had a blockage because she was not eating or producing stools and shaking at night in pain . I took her first to another exotic vet and wouldn’t listen to me or take it serious, and performed no test and treated her for gi stasis but said she probably didn’t even have that because she was alert and acting fine but I’m sure adrenaline was kicking in. After not getting better and having to syringe feed her , I called Dr.Holm’s office and they had me bring her in right away , did X-rays and told me she was completely blocked and would need emergency surgery or she would die a painful death and would need to be put down . My rabbit is the sweetest, loving , cutest , smartest rabbit I’ve ever had and brings me comfort everyday from dealing with chronic pain. it was too soon to say goodbye and in my gut I knew she would have a good chance with Dr. Holm . It was hard dropping her off and leaving her but all I wanted for her was to survive. I was able to get free finance from care credit that helped make decision easy to go ahead with surgery and not have to worry about paying right then. She’s two weeks out and eating, no longer blocked up and hopping around, and now just focused on her gaining weight and preventing blockages. I’m grateful for Dr.Holm and staff for giving me more time with my FooFoo. Thank you for listening, acting , and having the skills knowledge in rabbit care. Highly recommend this clinic and will be switching vets for my dog and cats .
