“I had an Smartwool merino t-shirt base layer rip under the arm pit and a pair of Fjällräven Vidda Pro Ventilated Trousers torn up along the side of the Cargo pocket from taking a one-wheel nose dive across gravel. I decided to see if they could be repaired because it is not cheap gear. The repair price was very reasonable and they did an awesome job, very friendly too. I am very happy with the results, exactly what I asked for. I can barely tell the difference between the two underarms of the T-shirt and I explained the pants are utility protection for crashes and how I would like them to look after, that security and durability of the pocket and withstanding future crashes was the most important thing to me. Fantastic job!“

They were unable to remove certain stains from my clothes and I thought I was going to have to throw them away. As a last ditch effort, I decided to make the drive to HP and Joy Cleaners, whom I'd used when I was an HP resident. Sure enough, they were able to remove the stains, my items looked like new, and I was both happy and relieved. “This took me a few months to write, but I haven't forgotten the kind folks at Jefferson Park cleaners. They had closed for the day on a Sunday, and my buddy called to see if there was any place that would clean my dad's suit and lucky dress shirt (the one he wore for the birth of all three of his children) for his funeral the following Tuesday. It was the one task I didn't get a chance to take care of, and the funeral home needed to get it at least a day before.Jefferson Park cleaners was the fifth place my buddy called (all the others didn't answer) and told him to drop it off, even though they were closed for the day. Had it back to me by Monday morning. It gave me a lot of peace to be able to send him off in his lucky shirt.There's something to be said about a small business owner who understands that there is another human on the other end of the phone, and who strives to come through for a stranger when they need it the most. You might think that something like pressing a dress shirt is a trivial thing, but Jefferson Park Cleaners has obviously been in business for a long time, and they know that somebody calling right after they close for the day on a Sunday is probably somebody in need. And they pick up the phone.I don't know if the owner reads these, but if you do, thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me make sure my dad was dressed impeccably for the last time I ever saw him.“

“I had bought a doll and wanted to take its ponytail off but I have no idea how to sew and the ponytail was sewn on. The doll was all fabric by the way. When I went to Art's, a nice lady met with me and told me she could do it! I just picked up the doll today and it's so wonderful! It looks like the hair naturally had no ponytail! I was very happy with my doll and the price; it was under $20 to fix the doll and no one else out there seemed to want to do it except Art's. I would go there for any future sewing, alterations, tailoring, anything. They were great and very nice! They even remembered me right away and had my doll waiting when I came in even though it had been over a week! Definitely would recommend them!“
