About 2 years ago I mentioned to my dentist recommended me to get a night guard to use while sleeping. Being stubborn I decided against it and here I am 2 years later struggling to open my jaw without it clicking/locking. I've had severe TMJ since I was a child and now at 23, it has only gotten worse as I've gotten older. A few months ago, the disc in my jaw suddenly came out of place and my mouth felt unaligned with severe jaw pain. I finally called Suburban TMJ after they were recommended to me by my dentist years prior. They got me in the next day and fully explained the entire treatment process which included wearing a specially made biteguard. The treatment was expensive and I was weary but I knew I had no other options.
