ok so the floors are done and im finally sitting down to write this. had bob and his team refinish the floors in basically the whole main level plus the stairs. it was a lot of square footage and i was nervous about how disruptive it would be but they worked through it pretty efficiently. the sanding part is where i was most worried because i had read about how dusty it gets. there was still some dust dont get me wrong but way less than i expected and they had plastic up everywhere to contain it. they also moved the heavy stuff for us which saved my back. the color came out exactly how i picked it from the samples, no weird surprises. bob himself came by a couple times...read full review
Had our living room and dining room oak floors refinished and the difference is hard to describe. They were dull and scratched up before, now they have this deep warm glow to them. We had gotten a few quotes around the Bolingbrook area before picking. Bob and his pricing were reasonable for the scope.
first call with bob was quick and to the point. he asked about square footage, what kind of wood, when the house was built, all that. came by a couple days later to look at everything and gave me a number on the spot which i appreciated. the job itself was bigger than i thought because we did the whole main floor plus the stairs. crew showed up early both days and just got to it. sanding took most of day one and they moved a heavy hutch for me without me even asking how that was gonna work. stain color matched what we picked from the samples, no surpises there. final coat went down and they walked me through the dry times and how long to wait before putting rugs back....read full review
