Vernon Hills Animal Hospital was great! The staff were friendly and the tech really cared for our dog. She took the time to get herself and our dog comfortable with each other. The vet was very thorough and explained everything she wanted to do with our dog.

Horrible, overpriced experience. Had an annual exam for my rabbits, Dr. Sneed manhandled them to the point that I was worried she was going to snap their necks trying to see into their mouths, then flipped them onto their backs (which is extremely stressful for rabbits and can cause them to go into shock) for no discernible reason. Absolutely no signs of trying or effort made to make the experience less stressful for the rabbits (no wrapping in blankets, taking time between each part of the exam, etc.) despite claims of being "fear free". Exam felt rushed and very surface level, she did not even check their nails to make sure they weren't overgrown. Paid almost $200 for ten minutes of their time, five minutes per rabbit, while other vets charge over $30 less per patient and you get an actual exam with care and time taken to make sure the patient isn't absolutely traumatized. She also seemed unaware of rabbits in general to the point of asking if my lop's ears were ever carried up, when lops have specifically been bred to have relaxed ear cartilage that cannot support upright ears. This is IMO extremely basic rabbit knowledge, and certainly something I expect a veterinarian who specializes in exotics to know. Would not recommend to anyone.

I switched to this hospital because it is so much closer than the one assigned to me by the shelter and have no regret. Everyone there (receptionist, technician and doctor) were so patient and nice.
