Loved working with John. We live in a new construction neighborhood and he was the ONLY vendor we explored that brought up the unique circumstances of building decks in such soil conditions. His expertise avoided us a major problem with deck sagging that another neighbor experienced when they built at the same time as us with another vendor. 3 years later and our deck is standing proud and tall. I'm happy to recommend this company.

We contacted Custom Built Fence and Deck for suggestions about building a deck in the rear of our house in Grayslake, Illinois. Our 25 year old concrete patio was sinking and the 4 slabs were all at different levels making it a danger to walk on. Father and son from Custom Built came out and walked us through several suggestions and we decided to have a deck built over the patio. The two men who installed our deck were true master craftsmen. Their attention to detail and the care they took to insure there was no damage to our connecting house , grass or shrubs was terrific.
