About LA Fitness
LA Fitness offers a variety of amenities, including state-of-the-art equipment, basketball, group fitness classes, a pool, saunas, and personal training, all at a great value. The gym can get crowded due to its popularity, and it has changed its hours, now closing earlier than before. Some equipment is outdated, with fewer rowing machines available, and certain facilities like the jacuzzi and sauna are sometimes closed for service. However, the gym is known for its cleanliness, with staff taking pride in keeping the locker rooms, showers, and workout areas spotless. Additionally, the TV in the locker room only shows one news channel, which some find unappealing. Overall, it is a decent gym with room for improvement, and many members appreciate the helpful and professional staff.
I’ve noticed that during the summer, the staff regularly clean the equipment, and I really appreciate their efforts. Thank you to the team for keeping the gym clean.
That said, I feel that some equipment is still missing, especially machines for squats and arm workouts. It would be great to see more options in those areas.
I would also like to suggest extending the weekend hours. I’m used to going to the gym early in the morning on weekends, so it would be nice if the gym opened at least at 7:00 AM. Even now, by 8:00 AM on Saturdays, the gym is already very crowded, and people often have to wait for equipment.
I hope you will consider these suggestions...read full review
The LA fitness located in Mt Prospect which is manage by a wonderful group and staff lead by Mercedes, the equipment is amazing, the sauna, and pool are very well kept as well as the locker rooms and showers. would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is interested in a good place to workout.
Nice gym, but weekend hours are too short — closing at 7 PM is not convenient. Also, members often leave weights everywhere instead of putting them back. It would be great if management could improve this.
