I highly recommend this practice. The front desk staff is welcoming and friendly. Dr. Dowell is very thorough and precise with his exams. Technician Jacklyn was helpful and knowledgeable about the lenses I needed and processing my insurance claim.

I work out here in Libertyville and I called needing to adjust my glasses and they were more than accommodating! Didn't need to be a patient, they welcomed me and didn't even charge me for their services! Very appreciative for the their kindness!

I hate to post this, because I'm a longtime customer, and I love the doctors but apparently their pricing policy has changed since the last time I was there. For my yearly eye exam I was charged $10.00 for "wellness" whatever that is, $35.00 for "refraction", $90.00 for "Routine Vision Exam EST" and $150.00 for "SCL Eval Toric." ( I didn't need my eyes dilated, my retinal doctor does that ) When I called for an explanation the staff lady, who is very nice, explained that the $90.00 was for a "glasses" exam and the extra $150.00 is a separate charge for a "contacts" exam. Huh? I think $285.00 for an exam with no issues or problems ( buying my contacts was extra) is pretty crazy, especially seeing that I'm a self pay, not insurance covered. Unfortunately I'll have to look around to find somewhere else for my eye exams . Three stars ..to balance my review out because the doctors are great .

I never take the time to give review but the lack of respect for the client and lack of communication warrants my time. I have been waiting for eyeglasses to be delivered since May 1. I was told the timeframe would be approximately 3 weeks may be 4. It is now 8 weeks and there is no information on the status. I think they are lost, and I will never see them again. I have called several times and I have been given the run around. They have my very expensive designer frame, which I gave to them to install the lenses, and paid for it upfront. Huge mistake!! You would think that they would call their provider and ask for this to be expedited and/or follow up with me to provide a real and informative update on the status. You would think that they would apologies for the delayed. I called last Monday demanding the order is cancelled and that they return my frame and money. I asked to speak with the Manager which was off that day. I asked for the Manager to call me back the next day. They said that someone would call me back by the end of the day. Today is EOB Friday, and there is being no response. Take your business elsewhere.

Dr. Dowell gave me the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. I went here for the first time after years going elsewhere. I explained my chronic issues, the staff and technicians listened, and Dr. Dowell went above and beyond to figure out the issue. I recommend them completely and am so happy to have a great vision practice!

The front desk ladies, especially Janet are very rude. They give my family attitude every time we come in. We order contacts thru them and they take months to get in. Were told a week or so, then it’s over a month. They’ve messed up our appts. I’m taking my business elsewhere.
