I love Dr Miller, Dr Riederman and Nurse Laura.
They helped me when my other dr failed to diagnose. They’re open to considering symptoms beyond just the stupid test results that are always in normal range. I’m so thankful for Nurse Laura especially who dove into my issues and created a plan. Thanks to her I can sleep, my hair isn’t coming out by the handful and Ive lost 30 pounds just from her willingness to figure out my crazy symptoms.

If I was able, I would give 0 stars. I have typically had poor service from the office staff but usually look past it because I like my nurse practitioner. As of now, I will no longer be a patient of Lake Forest Internal Medicine in Libertyville.

When asked to be seen for a chronic vs acute cough, which the nurse practitioner previously attributed to allergies, I was told by the office staff I couldn't be seen without a negative Covid test. When I explained this issue was not an acute or new symptom, I was ignored. The office staff transferred me around and told me I was being offensive when I suggested I should speak about the kind of medical attention I needed with a medical professional. At that point, I asked to leave a message for my nurse practitioner and this was obliged.

This morning my nurse practitioner returned my call and left me a voicemail, saying I could reach her in the morning via phone or by scheduling an appointment. When I returned her call, the office manager, Donna, said I could only talk to the nurse practitioner via a telehealth appt or come into the office. When I told the office manager that I had decided to leave the practice and only wanted to discuss issues with customer service, the office manager raised her voice and hung up on me.

Lake Forest Internal Medicine doesn't have another way to offer patient feedback. You can't email them or message them through their portal. You also can't fill out a contact form. It's only by calling that you can connect with someone, and you are unable to get beyond the rude office staff unless you make an appt and are then charged by your health insurance. I'm sorry, but this is now beyond a conversation about my health and yet I still can't connect with any of the medical staff to discuss.

Finally, I also think it's pretty antiquated that Lake Forest Internal Medicine doesn't offer its patients the ability to make and cancel appointments through an app. They're a Northwestern affiliate and most definitely should not be. Their standard of care, professionalism and ability to communicate does not equate.

On 10/16/24, I had the most terrible experience at Lake Forest Internal Medicine when, at the request of my health insurance, I called the financial department and had the displeasure of being attended to by the employee “Donna”. Lake Forest Internal Medicine issued a claim for my 55-year-old husband, with the code “form for school”. Obviously, the health insurance did not pay the claim and I received the invoice from LFIM at my home.
When I contacted the health insurance, they asked us to contact LFIM so that the claim could be issued again, with the correct code so that they could make the payment.
I tried to explain to “Donna” a few times, but she screamed at the same time as I tried to explain and finally stated that I was asking her to commit the crime of fraud against the health insurance!
I told her that I was extremely offended and that she could not say that, because I was only transmitting what the health insurance asked me to do. By the way, I have an email from the health insurance instructing me to do this.
My husband and I have been patients at LFIM since 2017 for family doctor, and that was not enough for this “Donna” to have respect and be polite!
In fact, this “Donna” did commit the crime of fraud using a code to provide care to a student for a 55-year-old man who is not even enrolled in any school. Anyway, I am looking into with experts what consequences are applicable for both cases, fraudulent information for health insurance and slander.

Dr. Milejczyk is an independent thinker. I am new to Dr. Milejczyk practice and have been overly impressed with his attention to detail. He has exceptional diagnostic intuition. His employee’s are also well-trained professionals. I plan to recommend friends and family to his practice.

Been trying to get in contact with the office to reschedule an appointment for several hours without any luck. We have been unable to get anyone on the phone, and the office mailbox is full. there is no way to reschedule the appointment through the online portal and no way to communicate with the office via email or the portal.
