Those negative reviews are way off base. Disgruntled customer for sure. Daniel and Lena couldn’t be more accommodating. The shop is clean and well kept. They do a great job. I have been coming to them for years. Try them out, you will love their services!

Wow! Reading some of the negative reviews written over the last week, there appears to be a coordinated effort to disparage this salon. I've been a Family Nails customer for over 12 years. Daniel and Lena are wonderful people and go out of their way to make their customers feel special. They genuinely care about me and my family, and both of them do a fabulous job on our manicures and pedicures. The shop is very clean and they are always welcoming!

This is Lena. The owner of family nails and spa. Please let me clarify the problem before it becomes out of hands from Chonavic family and friends. Stacy was constantly making appointments, rescheduling, and no show no call at the end. I attached the last few texts, so you all can see. Last appointment was 6/17/25 same as no show no call. When she begged to make appointment on 6/18, we turned down, so the posts from Jeff, Nancy, Serra, Sky Chonavec family and friends Keith, Jeanne cape Eli, Alex R started harassing and accusing us even though they don’t know the fact and her friends have never been in my shop or in Illinois. I am not sure how influenced they got from Stacy. I had file police report with all evidence. Please stop playing victim with these no senses. It’s strictly business decision since we have bills to pay. If there are any gift cards left in your possession, please advise, so I will reimburse with police officer witness.

I am looking at some of the reviews and I can't disagree more - Daniel and Lena are an amazing couple with an even more amazing story. I never got my nails done very often because of the salons in Libertyville making you feel like you are not fancy enough well let me tell you I love the services they give manicures and pedicures are as good if not better than most - they talk to the clients and actually care about them. I have been going there for over 10 years and if and when they retire I won't know of another place that I could go and feel like they really care???

If I could leave a 0 star I would. My mom and sister have been going to this business for 8 years or so, my mom and sister have been consistent at getting pedicures and manicures and our family has bought many gift certificates from them over the years for many different occasions. My mom has never missed an appointment and my mom was having some health issues and missed her appointment, instead of the owners being understanding as again she has been a loyal customer they told her she would not be able to book with them again. Next my sister who wasn’t even involved receives a text that she is banned from booking her pedicures. I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment of my family after being a loyal customer. They have gone downhill with service, and have lost my respect entirely. WOULD NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS.

The owner was talking about her beliefs, political, and religious, and because my daughter didn’t respond in, anyway just kind of smiled. She has decided that she will no longer take my daughter as a client or any family member because of her political and religious beliefs. The nail salon It’s not the cleanest it’s rundown the chairs have duct tape on them. I can’t believe that she would not reimburse my daughter or family members for gift Certificates. She is stealing from the ones that paid for those gift certificates and gave them as gifts to our family. If you go there, and she talks religion or politics, whether you agree or disagree with her, just shake your head and say yes, because otherwise she’ll cut your toenails or your fingernails till they bleed.
