Have been seeing Dr Gill for over 14 years. A couple weeks ago my almost 15 yr old kitty needed emergency tooth extraction. Dr Gill took him immediately, we agreed on a plan and a few hours later I was able to bring him home with meds. He healed super quick and that is a direct reflection on the superb care he was given. Dr Gill and his staff are wonderful, kind and very caring. I would not trust the care of my fur-baby to anyone else. This practice is highly recommended, you will not be disappointed!

I would not recommend Happy Paws Animal Hospital for international travel paperwork.
I contacted the clinic because I needed information about traveling with my dogs to Mexico. I specifically mentioned multiple times that my destination was Mexico, yet I was repeatedly told that I needed an international health certificate and was quoted approximately $350 per dog. I was also told this was a discounted price because the doctor had supposedly reduced the fee from the normal $450 per dog.
The quote included an exam, deworming, and an international travel certificate. Before scheduling the appointment, I decided to do my own research and contacted the airline directly. I was informed that Mexico no longer requires the travel documentation that the clinic was insisting I needed for my trip.
Had I not taken the time to verify the requirements myself, I could have spent hundreds of dollars on paperwork that was completely unnecessary for my travel plans. Being told I was receiving a “discount” on something I ultimately did not need was especially frustrating.
I strongly encourage pet owners to verify travel requirements directly with their airline and the destination country’s current regulations before paying for expensive certificates. In my experience, the information I received from this clinic would have resulted in significant unnecessary expenses. There are also other veterinary providers that offer travel-related services at much more reasonable prices.
Do your research before spending your money at Happy Paws Animal Hospital.

My dog, Mila, has been a patient of Dr. Gil’s at Happy Paws in Lake Zurich, and I could not be happier with his expertise and kindness. In fact, the entire staff is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. I recently needed an emergency appointment for Mila, and they accommodated us immediately. We were seating in a room as soon as we arrived — 10 minutes after I called for the appointment — and Mila got excellent care for an infection from which she has completely healed. I highly recommend Dr. Gil and Happy Paws in Lake Zurich for all of your pet’s needs.

This place is amazing, the staff is wonderful and I can’t thank them enough. I live 1 hour away and it’s worth the drive. Dr saved my cat 2 years ago, when other vets told me to put her down. Last week he saved my 15 yr old dog Sophia. He gave me more precious time with her❤️. For animal lovers, you know how precious that is.

Lakeland has taken care of all of my dogs for 10-15 yrs…,Fizzy, Hobo, Valentina, Duke, Tycho & Apollo. Dr Dunn, Shirley & all the rest of the staff have been so supportive & the whole staff is always so professional & great with my big dogs!
