These people are horrible. They hit a parked car while shoveling snow in our complex. They do not do a good job with the snow. Now they do not want to fix it. They drive reckless in the complex. They do half ass job. When they plant in the summer and take breaks throw trash everywhere. The owner was rude. Be careful of them. I said I had a witness . He Basically said who cares. In previous reviews they are known for damaging property. The owner finds excuses not to take accountability. Be very careful!

Apex Landscaping’s snow removal service is extremely disappointing. We are being charged thousands of dollars, yet the snow is never cleared. After their so called “service,” we still have to shovel and clean up ourselves just to make areas usable.
They claim the job is complete when it clearly isn’t. For the amount they charge, this level of service is unacceptable and feels like paying for work that was never properly done.
I would not recommend Apex Landscaping for snow removal. Save your money and look elsewhere.

I haven't used their services but would like to share an experience.
This morning (7/18/25) my husband, infant daughter and I were walking along the Fox River paved trail near the water treatment center in Elgin, which Apex must take care of since their trailer was parked there. We passed 2 different employees on mowers. As soon as they saw us coming, they cut off the mowers, and turned the throttle down until we passed. I was so impressed by these acts of kindness I felt I had to write a positive review.
I'm not sure if this is training, or wonderful employees, but I really appreciate that they cared about our ears, and not throwing debris with the mowers.

Apex landscaping hit my garage door this winter and would not accept responsibility for it or pay for the damage. They are not an ethical company and I would not do business with them.

Dave did an amazing job on our sidewalk improvement. He handled everything with the village for permits and inspection. APEX is our contracted landscaper as well and always responsive to any requests or additional work that needs to be completed. Thank you for the wonderful service!!

I've had the pleasure of interacting with Bruce and Matt and I can confidently say they have been exceptional. Every time, I reach out, I receive a prompt and helpful response. They are both very professional but also incredibly friendly, which makes all the difference when resolving any issues. They go above and beyond and take every take care of everything efficiently. It is clear that customer satisfaction, is their top priority! I highly recommend them!! You won't be disappointed.

Worst Landscape company I have ever seen. I spent over $500 trying to repair yard after they scalp the grass down to the dirt every time they mow. They take care of our association unfortunately and I have no say, but I would stay away from them. Last month I called and complained and the person in charge at Apex for association told me they should not be using big mowers when yard is up and down and he would bring me more seed to repair again after I just had yard looking perfect. That never happened, I spent my own money again. Today they destroyed my yard again. I will do my best to make sure they loose their contract here. So frustrating to have to repair yard after every mowing and have them lie to you how they will get seed and repair. Do not trust these people!!

They did an excellent job in our backyard, planted numerous bushes & plants and laid mulch. They started early, worked hard and did an awesome job!
