I can’t even begin to express my sincere gratitude. Our Boxer passed away in the middle of the night and we called as soon as they opened. We were told we could bring him in as soon as we were ready. When we arrived and were greeted at the door by Jo-Lynne who immediately gave us hugs and compassion. The way we were treated was amazing in the time when we needed compassion, caring, and empathy. She is truly where she is meant to be as an angel for those experiencing such grief and sadness. She told us that she would put him first on the list and she called us hours later to pick up his ashes and made paw prints for us and one for our daughter. We know we left... read full review
Jo took wonderful care of my friend's cat who was found unexpectedly unresponsive. The process was met with empathy and friendliness and the process ended dignified. Lakes Crematory are very honest people who are in this business for a reason. When its time for one of my four pets to leave us, I will go here as well. Prices are extremely reasonable. They have a wide variety of urns, most of them are beautiful as ever. I wish we knew about Lakes Crematory before and I will refer others here too. I'm from Rockford, and my work involves pets and at times the unfortunate passing of them...even the distance is worth the travel compared to vet rates. Thank you Lakes... read full review
