I had an appointment at the ophthalmologist yesterday afternoon and stopped by the optical department on my way out to look at their glasses selection. I was considering purchasing frames there, but unfortunately the experience completely changed my mind.
When I walked in, the employee working in the optical area did not acknowledge me at all. He appeared to be watching TV on his phone and continued doing so even while I was standing there. When I asked if someone could adjust my glasses, he responded in a raised and dismissive tone, saying that if they broke it would be my responsibility. I told him that was fine and explained that my glasses felt crooked.
He briefly looked at them and said the only thing he could see was that they were loose. He tightened them and cleaned them, which I appreciated, but his attitude throughout the interaction was rude and dismissive. I felt like I was interrupting him rather than being helped as a patient/customer.
Because of that experience, I decided I will not be purchasing glasses there and will take my business elsewhere. Customer service and basic courtesy go a long way, especially in a medical office setting.

I had a really great experience overall. Not sure why other people would rate it a 1? They didn't even bother to write why.

A joke. Used to be outstanding when Dr Macsi was in charge. Now it take two months to get an appointment. Then I wasted 90 minutes waiting for the doctor, I left. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Unacceptable treatment of existing patients. Very unfortunate. I drove 30 minutes to find out I "canceled my appointment" 5 minutes before start (how? Nobody knows!) and they told me they couldn't see me (even though I was on time) because somehow in those 5 minutes they filled it in with an emergency. I took a day off for this appointment, gross disrespect for patients and their time. If I could give it 0 starts I would. They told me that I must have canceled it through mychart by hitting a wrong button (like it's that easy and while driving?) it's sad. Goodbye Northwestern after 15 years.
