I can’t sing enough praises for this facility. My beautiful 33 year old niece was brought here on 12/13/21 where she spent the last 5 days of her life. The staff was extremely accommodating. The compassion exhibited by each nurse and doctor was beyond our expectations. They made sure my niece was comfortable as she made her transition. They kept us very informed of each change. Working daily on a place like this can be exhausting, yet not one staff member gave us the feeling that they didn’t care. Thank you for you love and compassion. I waited to post this, and I would say we had a disappointing experience in Georgia with a different agency as well. It is a difficult area to make families happy in such a tough time. With that said other than just conversations, we never received a binder organized to discuss what we will go through, or any kind of a medication log, or a communication log for our hired caregivers to follow and keep up with changes. I had to make my own (the hired 24/7 care organization didnt give us anything either). Most recently, we had to move my mother-in-law into hospice, a move that is obviously very heart wrenching and emotionally challenging. My husband and I cannot provide enough praise for the care and compassion that was displayed by the team at Journey Care. In particular, Kathy was absolutely outstanding. She provided education, experience, caring and compassion to make an extremely unpleasant and sad experience somewhat manageable. Additionally, mom’s nighttime nurse Moonhee was excellent, also filled with genuine compassion. Ricky was terrific too. Journey Care staff is exceptional! We cannot say enough how this team helped make this process a bit more palatable.... read full review
