“My son saw Shannon this afternoon and she NAILED IT! My son has long hair and we've had less than stellar son experiences in the past; he usually winds up looking like the Dutch Boy Paint kid. His hair is wavy and thick on the underside, sometimes with ringlets, while being stick straight on top. Shannon went to work cutting layers to make it more manageable, all while keeping the length he wanted. So very happy! Shannon is personable and so easy to talk to; you'll feel like you've been besties for YEARS! Glad to have found Shannon and Rebel and looking forward to seeing her again!“

For the last few years, I've taken my 2 young boys to places like SportsClips and random childrens haircut places. I was never particularly impressed with their cuts and often times their hair gets butchered or only looks good when styled.I took my kids there a few days ago and they wanted two different styles that I showed Geo on my phone. He took his time on their cuts and they both had the best haircuts I've ever seen on them. The other gentlemen there also complimented my boys hair. Apparently, my oldest looks like Sergio Ramos. “As of December 2023, it's $24 for a men's cut if you're a student. This place has been around since 1916 and has been passed between family members. It's the best men's cut in Evanston. So affordable, too. I've been to Floyd's as well. The cut here is just as good as Floyd's for $11 cheaper. The three people that work there have been there for decades. They know hair and customer service.“

“Update Fall '23:Havn't been back in a while since I live and work much farther away, but little has changed when it comes to the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the cut. Had my hair cut by Alex, who did a phenomenal job. Wife is very, very pleased. Managed to cut it in a way that hides some of the thinning up top that looks absolutely natural and great. Price is up a little to $25, which is still crazy low given the inflation of the last few years. 5 stars still in my book.Original Review:Wonderful haircuts, great nautical decor. A real, authentic neighborhood barbershop. Owner is a great guy, super nice and polite. Some of the barbers don't speak a ton of english, but they unerstand it just fine. I think they speak polish, so you can talk to them in polish instead if you prefer.Also, to mention-- great value. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the haircut. And, the place doesn't reek of cigarette smoke either! Parking is in the back, ad though its tight quarters, I havn't ever had trouble getting a spot somewhere.I drive past 4 barbershops to get there, because it is just about the best haircut you'll get in the area, especially for less that 20 bucks!“
