Received an email 30 minutes ago saying that Autobarn Nissan of Evanston is closing in two days. No explanation. No effort to help us reschedule service appointments we already had. My wife and I have bought Nissans for years, but to close a key service center with two days' notice is outrageous -- and it assures we'll never buy a Nissan again. I chatted with a representative on their website who said that we could take our cars to the Autobarn Mazda of Evanston for service . . . but then my wife called to reschedule her upcoming Nissan service appointment with a representative from Autobarn Mazda of Evanston, and the representative said, no, it is actually *not* a good idea to bring our Nissans there. So let me get this straight: Autobarn Nissan closed with but two days' notice and offered no information for those of us who already had appointments with them -- and, to make it worse, Autobarn Nissan added misinformation about the Autobarn Mazda. I don't know if a company could work any harder, and succeed any better, at alienating loyal customers.

Had a terrible experience here at the Autobarn Nissan of Evanston! My parents and I were looking to purchase a Nissan Sentra SV, and we saw one they had online that matched our price range. We even called to make sure they had it in stock, upon which they told us they did. Halfway to the dealership, we get a call from the manager Ross telling us that they actually sold the car yesterday but they will show us similar ones. After looking at cars there we found one we liked, and we bargained with the salesman, until eventually we were at a price that was decent (although still significantly higher than the price of the car we initially came to look at). Our final request was if we could add a remote control start at the same price, since we wanted additional benefit for having to pay this higher than expected price, to which the manager, Ross, came back with a hard no and a different car to offer to us. This car was years older and had many many more miles on it, which wasn't what we were looking for, so we said "no thank you" to this offer, to which Ross replied with "no way then" and got up and left with no other response. This was very rude customer service, especially towards my parents who are not from this country and already have a hard time speaking English. To see my parents get disrespected in front of my eyes was disgusting, and not something I would wish upon anyone. Unprofessional behavior from the manager of the Autobarn Nissan of Evanston!

DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS!! Had issues with my ac as it was not getting cold. Went to get it checked out and was told one thing. When getting car serviced I was called with additional issues with the ac. Silly of me to assume that during the initial inspection they would thoroughly inspect the issue. Fast forward I started having issues with my heat. I assumed the heat had nothing to do with the ac system as I know nothing about cars unfortunately. Called in to see what could be the issue based on the multi-point inspection that was completed. On the first call I spoke to a guy who said my ac unit is all messed up. I informed him that there should not be any issues considering I already had my ac serviced. The guy started stuttering and hung up on me. When I called back there was no answer. When I called again, I explained what had transpired with the receptionist. I was then transferred to the same guy and he told me that the heat is linked to the ac unit and that they were not liable for the heat as it had been sometime since my car was serviced. Nothing I said could have made him assume I was putting blame on them. However , now I am. I was not having issues with my heat before and based on our conversation lead me to this point. If you can not trust Nissan’s mechanics, then who can you trust!?

Mauricio Rubio and Elizabeth Arpi were a dream to work with! They were kind and friendly upon first introduction. They both took their time to make sure we knew what we were looking for in a vehicle, and let us know plainly what they could provide. They went to bat for us and got us a deal that fit our budget and we never felt up-sold or taken advantage of. I am also disabled and use a mobility device that I felt was handled with car whilst we were testing vehicles. I *highly* recommend that you check out this dealership and ask for Mauricio and Elizabeth specifically.

Hi, my name is Erich de leon, i recieved a letter of recall a month or 2 ago, i called for the service they say my vin number is wrong, so the associate cant do anything about it, soi waited for the next letter, maybe typo error, when there's no letter arrived i called consumer affairs for my problem fo help,Napreen is nice to help me and check , so i schedule a service this morning,Ryan is really nice and help me through the process, but when it comes to my coupon of free Oil change they didnt do it cause its expired. So i told him i speak to Napreen, and she told me to speak to you guys, then he said call them its not from us , so i called this morning consumer affairs i speak to Mac, he said no call the dealershipits not from us, so i ask can you call and speak to them, he transfer me to to the Supervisor Service Dept. He said no, there's nothing he can do. Just like that, all im saying is , that's is not my fault when they can't book me cause of their mistake. Anyway, the oil change is a COURTESY of the Nissan to the consumer cause of the Recall, why neither of this department cant extend the same COURTESY , NISSAN gave to me. They all point fingers who's who. Dear Nissan I fell bad for my self , cause it feels like im begging for it, you send it to me, i didnt ask for it.

Do not get your car serviced at The Autobarn Nissan of Evanston! They say that "Your trust is our top concern" and I could not disagree with this statement more. I ordered 4 "new" Yokohama Geolandar tires in 2020 and paid around $1200 for the set. I found out last week that my tires were far from new. Two tires were from 2014, one was from 2016, and one was from 2017. The tires, after not even 3 years, have dry rot, low tread, and crazing. As someone who doesn't drive that often, it was a shock when my local garage told me at my last oil change that they recommended new tires. My local garage said that they never would have put tires on my car that were that old. The local garage took pictures of each tire and said I should go back to The Autobarn Nissan of Evanston to discuss the matter. I took the car back to The Autobarn Nissan of Evanston and was told that they spoke with their Dealer Tire Representative and that they were not willing to do anything. I did not find Poldino to be very helpful and was interrupted when trying to explain what was going on which did not start things out on a very good note. Poldino also looked up my vin car facts and mentioned that I took my vehicle to other places which I found odd because that has nothing to do with my tire issue. As a customer, I feel that I was taken advantage of and that I was not heard or helped. If I could give a zero for a rating, I would. I will be sure to alert all my fellow Nissan owners to not use The Autobarn Nissan of Evanston.

You specialize in manifold parts for cars and whatnot but also in hiring professional and enthusiastic representatives that go above and beyond, in selling them.

I had an issue that required running diagnostics. First, they were the most expensive of local dealers for this common service and they DO NOT apply the charge toward the needed repair; the other local Mazda dealers do. After running diagnostics, they told me that they weren't sure of the issue so we would have to go through a number of very expensive repairs that may or may not work. So I spent $500 and the problem wasn't fixed. The service advisor and manager were gruff, rude and dismissive of my concerns about now spending potentially thousands more dollars on further repairs that may not work. To top it off the service advisor said that I was "annoying" for asking too many questions. Unbelievably bad customer service. I've owned cars for 40 years and never experienced anything like this. Will not be buying another Mazda since this is the nearest dealer and I will not use this dealer or service center ever again. (Also, we bought our Mazda from this dealer and that was also bad experience where the sales manager tried to add extra things after the price had been agreed to.)
