I would like to give my personal account on the situation I had seen from the other day as I noticed someone had given a fabricated statement. I had witnessed two hairdressers get in an altercation where one had raised her tone and used a rather aggressive and inappropriate word while there was multiple clients in the salon area. I understand that there might have been frustration from both parties but for the one stylist to raise her voice and use such a ableist word in a salon is unacceptable and unprofessional. The other lady had been kind enough to apologize as she understood her own fault in the situation. From what I heard from the other review the lady who raised her voice is named Maria and I hope she is held accountable for her actions and her terrible behavior. Ulta has always had a reputation for inclusivity and for her to use such a derogative word is disgusting. I hope this is addressed.
5 star for Maria Denisi who is doing always a great job: haircut, full highlight, blow dry, styling, etc. I know Maria since she worked in Elk Grove Village salon, she is so professional and likes what she is doing. Really a good professional. Today, I had an appointment at 9:30 AM, and this was my first time at this location Ulta Beauty Crystal Lake. Just had my hair colored by Anastasia! Its beautiful, thank you! Anastasia is amazing and is filled with talent. She did exactly what I asked for and more. I can't believe how much I love it!!
