I hired Star Tuckpointing to handle extensive masonry restoration on my Bucktown building. The project required a complete chimney rebuild and the reconstruction of our parapet walls. The crew also replaced several failing window lintels and installed proper flashing to prevent future moisture intrusion. The team was punctual, maintained a clean job site, and completed the structural brickwork exactly to specification. If you need a reliable masonry and tuckpointing contractor in the Chicago area for serious structural repairs, they deliver exactly what they promise. The quality of the brick matching and mortar work is excellent.

It does not get better than these guys!! In 30 years of doing home repairs these guys might be the best! On time every day, project start day was exact, super clean every day and most important the actual tuckpoint job was the best I've seen! Concave, recessed, no smearing!, etc... true craftsman!!

We had an excellent experience with Voytek and Star Tuckpointing. We contacted Voytek regarding several concerns with our roof, as well as a separate leak above our large living room windows. He was very responsive, came out personally to inspect everything, and quickly arranged for his team to complete the necessary repairs.
The crew did a great job. Our HOA president later went up on the roof to inspect the work and was extremely impressed with the quality of the repairs. We also had heavy rain shortly afterward, and I’m happy to say that we had no leaking above the living room windows.
Voytek was knowledgeable, responsive, and very easy to work with throughout… read full review
