I initially met with Dr. Belmonte without having read reviews (scheduling snafu) and my experience with her has been great all the times I’ve seen her. She’s friendly but straightforward, and very thorough which is appreciated here. I have no notes and would recommend!
I was wary of the poor reviews but gave her a try when I read she specialized in my problem areas. I was very uncomfortable with the way she conducted the appointment, as I felt more like I was being interrogated than anything. We spoke at length in her office prior to the exam, which I had never done before but I tried to keep an open mind. I agree with what others have said: she is very cold, condescending and has zero bedside manner. I give her two stars because she is clearly very knowledgeable and, no doubt, a smart, qualified woman but I switched care providers because I need someone more trauma-informed and with at least the slightest bit of bedside manner.
I want to offset some of these negative reviews. I just had a very thorough appointment with Dr. Belmonte. I thought she was pleasant, straightforward and listening. I did not feel rushed, I felt heard, I was never in any pain and am actually happy to have connected with her.
