Mark was a great help when we needed him and went the extra mile!
I cannot say enough great things about Mark! Our AC stopped working and getting someone to call us back, much less come to our home, was next to impossible. The only other person to come out (for an $89 fee)was from the company we had used in the past. Without inspecting anything he said it might be a leak in the coil but he would gladly refill the coolant with no guarantee that it wouldn't empty out rather quickly AND charge us a 40% upcharge because it was considered emergency service since it was on the weekend. Translation: $1100 for coolant that we may simply waste and still have to set up an appointment with the salesman in 2 days who could then have it installed by the following week. When the salesman came out, he promptly informed us that we really should get a new furnace too, even though the same company had installed one just 7 years ago. Grand total on the estimate: $10000. No, thanks. Then I called Mark. Yes, he charges $100 to come assess the situation but he is very thorough. He inspected the current unit and found the hole in the coil. He looked at our furnace and said it was fine and did not need replacing. He quoted a price of $4500 fully installed. We went with him and could not be happier. The install proved to be a bit difficult because of the layout of our home, but Mark was tenacious in figuring out a way to make it work without having to rip open a wall. It took him longer than he expected but he worked diligently through sweltering heat AND ended up giving up his Father's Day to make sure the job was done. He truly enjoys his work and will gladly share the science behind it. He takes pride in his workmanship. And on top of all of this, he is a really, really nice guy. While I don't hope anything else in my home breaks down, if it does, I know Mark will be the first person I call.
