I spent 10 months looking everywhere for a specialist like Dr. Kurtzer! At the consultation she was very empathetic and gentle. Dr. Kurtzer herself and her staff is always in easy reach. When I come in for procedures they make me feel very comfortable.

Dr Kurtzker alone is amazing, very patient, experienced and helpful. But I’m mostly commenting on the administrative staff here. Every time I’ve visited (about 3 times in the last 2 months) I’m greeted politely, with compassion, and it really makes a big difference. Today the front desk staff said, “whatever it is, it’s going to be okay.” I didn’t even say anything to prompt this, she must have just sensed my mood. I took that to heart. I just always appreciate that sort of humanity and kindness.

I was initially excited to hear that Northwestern was opening a menopause clinic as they are top notch in so many other healthcare categories, but my visit there was disappointing. I was hoping they would do more specific multi-hormonal testing to show exactly which hormone levels were deficient, but they simply did an estradiol test which would be done by any OBGYN. I was on 0.1325 mg of Estradiol patches at the time, which revealed that my level of estradiol was at 400.
