Like many others have said, this is just a straight-forward, quality barbershop. Nothing fancy, but it was a great classic cut done meticulously by Joe. Super-reasonable ($30 before tip). I'm new to Chicago and tried 3 other shops, but this is the one I'm coming back to.

I've been going to Ross (Rosario) for two years now, and he's fantastic. He provides the best haircuts I've ever had, every time, without fail. He's a true artist, who's been honing his craft for more than 70 years. I've been to a lot of barbers, including a fair number of entertaining octogenarians, but none have given me a haircut as perfect as Ross. Ross isn't a pushy conversationalist like some barbers, but if you ask him a few questions he'll happily tell you about his youth: learning to barber as a child in pre-war Italy, living large while tending to our city's elite in the days when dapper was in, and so on. We drive 1.5 to 2.5 hours every two weeks to this place. He is the only barber that has been able to cut my 3 boys and my husbands hair types. No more going to two different places for haircuts or paying for terrible haircuts where the barber takes their hairline too far back or sitting through an edge up that went south. I highly recommend this place!
