LA Fitness provides many amenities at an outstanding value, including state-of-the-art equipment, basketball, group fitness classes, pool, saunas, Kids Klub, personal training, and more. The gym has recently undergone a remodel, with new equipment, clean locker rooms, and a lighter, more upbeat feel. However, ventilation and air conditioning remain issues, especially in the men’s locker room where it can get hot and humid with occasional drain stench from the showers. The showers themselves have not been updated and feature various shower heads with extreme flow restrictors, which can be frustrating. Some areas are still under construction, but the gym overall offers a variety of equipment and activities to meet most fitness needs. Staff members, including the Assistant GM, are helpful and make signing up for a day pass easy, making it a good place for travelers or those looking for a new gym. Recently, customers have noted the loud, poor-quality music and difficulty getting it adjusted, with staff explaining only the manager can change the settings. Despite some positive experiences, reviews mention that the gym’s recent improvements did not address critical issues like ventilation or shower quality, and staff responses to concerns can be limited, sometimes suggesting trying another location.
The inside definitely looks better than the outside. The gym is clean and surprisingly quiet. They have a track going around the perimeter of the gym. Equipment is clean and maintained well.
Unsanitary. Every single time I come out this gym, I'm sneezing with a runny nose before I walk out the door. So If that's your thing, step right up. Also, I don't get why nobody puts the dumbbells in their assigned spots. Looking for scattered dumbbells is annoying. Also, its hot in there... like all the time.

I have not gotten sick since. I do have a problem with how hot it gets inside of the gym. It gets stuffy and everyone is dying in there doing minimal workouts. I also tend to find the wipe stations without wipes even in the mornings exactly at 5AM. Lastly, for some reason nobody likes to put the dumbells in the right spot :/ Other than...read full review
Constant AC issues..
Update from 6/16/25
86 degrees inside, barely any air to breathe.
They put an order 3 months ago to have the AC fixed to no avail.
Unhealthy and unsanitary conditions caused by lack of fresh air ventilation and excessive heat.
Should sanitary authorities get involved???
Very nice gym, i really liked going there until recently, when it became obvious there is an ongoing issue with NOT WORKING AIR CONDITIONING! I I'm sweating like a pig before I even start my workout.
