Joan's Family Pride is a fine neighborhood laundromat with plenty of machines, few out of service, and a comfortable waiting area with chairs, reading materials, and even a rocking chair. The prices are very reasonable, and the place has a cozy "at-home" vibe with great music and a nice plant collection. The washers are efficient and easy to use, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and respectful, making it a convenient and enjoyable spot for the local community.

This place is great. I have had many interactions with different people here. I used to go around to the side of the building and eat my slurpees on the chairs with my friends. One time I saw a nice old lady out there struggling to open a pickle jar and I felt bad. I also talked with a middle aged man about his trauma regarding his late wife, which was sad. This Laundromat has been a definitive location that contributed immensely towards my personal growth. Throughout all the highs and lows, Joan's Family Pride has been there. Overall, this laundromat should be serving Norwood Park, NOT laundry world.

Fine neighborhood laundromat. Lots of machines; very few out of service. Plenty of chairs inside and out (even a rocking chair!) and reading materials; blessedly NO television or music! Parking lot just outside.A mega-laundry is almost open just down the block, so I hope this place can hang on!

Very clean, very reasonable prices...has a very "at- home" vibe. Great music plays overhead, a bevy of magazines and books while you wait. Machines always all- working.
