I was overdue to update my headshots, and a colleague recommended I get some professional grooming done beforehand so I’d actually like the photos. A quick search led me to goldplaited and their male grooming package, which seemed exactly like what I needed.
I was looking for something really subtle and natural—just a more polished version of myself—and they nailed it. They took the time to understand the look I was going for and didn’t rush the process at all. They also checked in along the way to make sure everything felt right, which I appreciated.

I got the party package which included an updo, full makeup and lashes for a Christmas party with my friends. It took about 1.5 hours for the whole deal. I LOVED my look and was sad when it was time to wash my face and take down my hair! Estrella did an amazing job with my updo and Andrea killed it with the makeup. I am pretty particular about how I like my foundation and contour and she was ON POINT! Importantly I have long hair and the way Estrella did the updo, my head and neck didn’t hurt from having it all piled on top of my head for hours. Can’t recommend GoldPlaited enough for your styling needs!
I absolutely love Goldplaited in Lakeview! I come here before every special event—holiday parties, galas, you name it—and they never disappoint. I’m honestly the worst at explaining how I want my makeup, but somehow they always get it exactly right. My makeup lasts all night (even after lots of dancing!) and my hair always looks amazing. The team is so talented, professional, and makes the whole experience fun and stress-free. I can’t imagine getting ready for an event anywhere else!
