This place rips!!!!! Gianni has been doing my hair for about a year and a half, and she nails it every single time! Everyone at the salon is cool, welcoming, kind, and fun to be around. This is a safe, inclusive space with no tolerance for BS, and I respect that. I've gotten my hair done at many salons throughout Chicago, and I've never had better results than I've had at Doll Heads! 1000/10, I highly recommend. For reference, I am a natural level 7, and Gianni nails the perfect cool/neutral blonde for me. Hell yeah! <3

I’ve been going to Shelly for my haircuts for about a year and half now and I can’t imagine going anywhere else (I’ve gone to a couple other places for cuts but am now back fully loyal to Doll Heads). I am a cis woman with a more masculine haircut and I can always count on Shelly to deliver exactly what I’m looking for. There are no “men’s cuts” or “women’s cuts” here, truly just human haircuts that rock.

If you’re looking for a salon that is not only friendly but has the best hairdressers and playlists in Chicago then look no further as you have found the place!! I have been coming here ever since they opened during Covid and I will always take the hour drive to come see Jill! She not only understands what I’m looking for every time but has journeyed with me through pink, orange and the more sophisticated balayage hair transformations! My hair always looks amazing every time I leave her chair and I always leave feeling my prettiest! Sometimes seeing Rescue, the friendly salon dog, is always a plus!
