Chicago Fireboat Tours

Chicago Fireboat Tours is a Veteran-owned and operated business that conducts Historical & Architectural tours, cruises, and private charters on Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. Their flagship vessel is the Fred A. Busse, a retired fireboat that served the Chicago fire department for 44 years.

The crew is very friendly and helpful. The guide was informative and funny, knowing a lot about the buildings and Chicago waterfront history. The tour provides a unique perspective of Chicago's landmarks from the river and lake, with terrific views of the skyline. The boat is very well maintained and not overcrowded, with plenty of space to walk around. It has a covered section with seating and an open bow.

There is a full service bar that serves a terrific beer only for this boat, along with snacks. The tour is reasonably priced and offers a memorable and informative way to explore the city. It is a nice way to spend a few hours and many customers plan to make it a new tradition.
