About Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center
Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center is a highly regarded outpatient addiction treatment center located in an interestingly decorated building in Chicagoland. It offers free, harm-reduction, behavioral Substance-Use Disorder (SUD) groups, including traditional mutual-support groups like AA, SMART Recovery, Women and Men for Sobriety, as well as specialized therapies such as Street Yoga, Logotherapy, Art, Music, Improv, and Mindfulness Relapse Prevention. The center approaches SUD as a response to trauma, often early childhood trauma, and provides a wide range of about 25 groups weekly. Support services include housing and employment assistance. I walked into this place just looking to obtain an ID. I did not know much about this place. It is something I did not know I needed to secure a life of sobriety. It completely changed my whole perspective in life, taught me what it was in myself that kept me in the darkness. Above and beyond gave me the knowledge and tools to find the wisdom in all things. I will continue to keep Above and Beyond as an essential aspect in my life. I love you all. Thank you for giving my life back.
