My partner has been going to Ippatsu and seeing Makenzie for years, and I just started seeing her when I wanted to switch up the style I'd had basically my whole life. Over the course of three haircuts (I needed to do some growing out), she was able to get my hair right where I wanted it, and I'm super happy. She also does a great job trimming my beard. The staff are all lovely, the salon is always buzzing and well-put-together - easily my favorite hair-care place I've ever been to.

Before finding Makenzie, I regularly walked out of random salons questioning my life decisions, knowing it was going to take at least a year and a half to grow out that shitty haircut. I get it… cutting thin, straight hair is hard. But it shouldn’t look like kindergarten me got ahold of safety scissors.

I started going to Ippatsu just after Rebecca took it over 22-ish years ago, and I haven’t suffered through a bad haircut since. I’ve always loved the personality of the shop … high-end salon with a rebellious edge. Great cuts, creative energy, and a vibe that feels totally authentic.

I love Ippatsu! I’ve been coming here for 3+ years and always have the best experience! Kenzie is such a great stylist and always has me leaving feeling super confident with new color ideas and great cuts for my curls!
