Bathroom remodel never started after 4 months. Insurance sent check to Leads Construction in April. After a few requests by me for project status update (it seemed they forgot), start date pushed back several times. I was instructed to pick materials and then due to delays, my choices we no longer available. Finally on August 9, supposed project start date, I asked if they checked into permit requirement. They assumed they didn't need one (I sent them the city brochure) but after my question, they realized in my town they needed a permit. If I could rate zero stars I would. The project manager Steve Ramos is a complete ogre. Very mean and very very rude. I hired this company to work on a home project all was going fine until there were issues with communication and processes. For a company that's in the construction business I do not understand why they claimed they were not aware they needed permits and or registration for certain people in the scope of work. When questioned they want to over talk you and berate you. I ended up taking my money elsewhere, where I was not being disrespected and valued as a client. Only because I can't leave zero. They look to use old parts to cut costs and make money. They told us the handles on our custom cabinets were no longer made as the company went out of business. We found it on google in business and they still made the handles which we had leads replace. Their scam handles next to our new ones are pictured below. The same issue happened with the actual custom cabinets they wanted us to pick out of a book, we insisted on a custom cabinet maker. Clearly a move to skimp costs, they didn't even have the decency to use the same shelf supports, some are plastic and some are metal.
