Hitzeman Funeral Home treated us like family. All of the details were explained to us in simple terms, selections were easy to make because of how everything was presented. The coordination of the church, and cemetery were seamless, all of which made the day so much more bearable. Hopefully we will not need this type of service any time again soon, but if we do, we will use them again.
With the help of the Hitzeman Funeral Home, we were able to give my Dad a great final celebration. We started the process with very little knowledge on our options. Chuck and his family (& staff) were kind, thoughtful and provided much guidance. During the explanation of our options, we never felt upsold or pressured to do things a certain way. He helped blend military, fire and multiple religious traditions into one service. Communication was top notch. I personally loved how they took my photos and created a slide show with very little direction from me. While we are very sad about my Dad’s passing, we found a bit of joy in the funeral process. No one wants to deal with the death of a loved one. Everyone at Hitzeman were helpful and empathetic. When I had questions they were quickly answered. They gave me the grace and peace to say goodbye to my father with dignity.
