“Shoutout to Shawn at A-1 Locksmiths & Security LTD. Our sliding glass door to the patio was installed 20 years ago, and the lock was no longer working. Brand of the door hardware is Hoppe. I called a couple of locksmiths who said they were not familiar with Hoppe locks and turned down the job. Called a door company, too. Door is fine and we don’t want to replace it, but wanted to fix or replace the locking mechanism.

Shawn was not afraid to try to help us. Came out to look at it, said he would not charge us anything if he determined couldn’t fix it. Took some measurements, went back and did some reaearch. Came several days later to take more measurements and photos. Stayed in constant contact with me regarding progress.

In the end, he found a place in another state where he could order something to replace the locking mechanism and keep the door. He came out lady week and installed it.

We will call Shawn at A-1 for all future locksmith needs, and want to encourage all our friends to do the same. He has been in business for 25 years, and really came through for us when no one else was willing to help.“
